Sandy Pitcher

Chief Executive of the
South Australian Department of Human Services

Sandy Pitcher is the Chief Executive of the South Australian Department of Human Services. She has spent her career leading agencies that support families, women and communities and has led departments through some challenging times, particularly when Covid hit in Victoria. She talks with authority sincerity and vulnerability when it comes to successfully leading organisations and we are beyond honoured she has joined us for this panel.

Sandy joins our panel as we come together to support children with hearing loss, raising money as part of Loud Shirt Day for this important cause.

Chad Cornes

Coach of the Senior Men's team
at Goodwood Saints and a SEN Radio presenter

Chad Cornes is the Coach of the Senior Men's team at Goodwood Saints and a SEN Radio presenter. A former AFL player, he is a premiership player with Port Adelaide and a two-time All-Australian instrumental in the Power's 2004 premiership. He was known for his passionate style on field and later returned to football as a playing assistant with GWS Giants before coaching Port Adelaide's heritage brand - the Magpies. Cornes was then elevated to a forward development role with the Power, and took the reins of the defensive lines at the end of the 2021 season.

We are excited to have Chad join our panel as we come together to support children with hearing loss.

Nigel Smart

two-time AFL premiership player and three-time All-Australian,
and has led Crime Stoppers SA since 2021

Nigel Smart is a two-time AFL premiership player and three-time All-Australian, and has led Crime Stoppers SA since 2021. The first Adelaide Crow to play 250 games, he is known for building strong partnerships that deliver real community outcomes. Prior to Crime Stoppers SA, he went on to join the board of the Adelaide Football Club before becoming their Chief Operating Officer and also served as CEO for Variety SA. He's passion for leadership and community contribution are enormous and we can't wait for him to share his leadership journey.

A CEO with demonstrated experience in driving business transformational change we can't wait for Nigel to be a part of our panel as we come together to support children with hearing loss.

Michael Aish

Co-founder and Head Coach of
Aish Football Academy

Michael Aish is the Co-founder and Head Coach of Aish Football Academy, helping young South Australians progress through the SANFL, AFL and AFLW pathways. A SANFL Hall of Famer, he played 307 games for Norwood and won two premierships having also been inducted in the AFL Hall of Fame. His achievements also include Norwood Club Champion awards, 15 South Australian State games as captain, Magarey Medal and Fos Williams Medal. Michael was also named a two-time All Australian and selected in the Norwood Team of the Century.

Help us get loud on purpose for Loud Shirt Day supporting children with hearing loss. 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to supporting the delivery of Can:Do 4Kids’ Tiny Tots program for babies and toddlers with hearing loss. This cause is close to our hearts, especially for our Director, Suria Ward, whose daughter Alba was born with Microtia Atresia.
